POSITION AVAILABLE – Melrose Fat Tyre Festival Event Manager

The award winning Melrose Fat Tyre Festival is South Australia’s biggest mountain bike event attracting over 1500 people to our region. It is an iconic event to our region and to the cycling community and has been running of over 15 years.

The event itself is an opportunity for like-minded people to come together and celebrate all things bike! It offers guided rides, skills clinics, craft, music, stalls, bike demonstrations, celebrity riders, kid’s activities and much much more.

The event manager’s position would be a great opportunity to grow this already successful event and give the chosen person some valuable experience in the industry. The event manager’s role would be to liaise with the FTF steering committee, meet with the South Australian Tourist Commission who is a major supporter of the event, plan and coordinate the event over the June long weekend.

Travel to Melrose will be essential at least 5 times before the event to meet the committee however meetings can be arranged in Adelaide or surrounding regions if necessary.

The previous FTF event manager will assist you through-out the year. This is an opportunity to make some positive changes, the successful applicant will need to have an open mind, be a creative & forward thinker.
